About Me

Express Air Fryers is where your home chef journey begins.

I’m Ty, the founder of Express Air Fryers, and my story began in the late 90’s when my craft beer loving father wanted to build one of the first brew on premise restaurants ever conceived in Arizona.  Some how he convinced my mother, who at the time was taking care of me and my three siblings, to take a massive leap and join the journey with him.  Just before the Millenium in 1998, and after a massive boot strapped effort, my family opened Ice Breakers of Scottsdale.

When we opened in 98’ I was about 15, and I officially entered the workforce at my parent’s little brewery.  My first job consisted of hauling kegs around the restaurant, tossing fermentation bags of soured mash, and cleaning the kegs, hauling them once more.  It was a hard job, but running a restaurant is tough in itself, and unfortunately we closed the restaurant after four amazing years.

During that time I have many fond memories of working at the restaurant, waiting tables, and enjoying amazing craft beer. In fact, that first job started a 20 plus year career in the restaurant and hospitality business. But my fondest memories were when we were away from the restaurant, cooking family recipes and having sit down dinners at home.

This is what inspired me to found Express Air Fryers.  I wanted to give the tools to people to be able to cook delicious and healthy meals at home to share with family and friends.  I want to provide the best quality air fryers so people can skip the pricey food delivery apps and connect over creating restaurant quality meals in their own kitchens.  Over my many years in the restaurant business I have developed a passion for amazing food and I want to inspire people to enjoy the health benefits and familial warmth of dining at home.
